Did You Predict This?

As Marqise Lee claimed the Biletnikoff Award, think back a year. It seemed a lock Matt Barkley would be in New York this weekend for the Heisman Trophy presentation. And Robert Woods was probably a safe pick to go to the Biletnikoff for the second year. And Lee was also a strong pick.
Instead, Barkley and Woods had subpar seasons. Lee was a star. And instead of going to the Heisman, Barkley said this Lee was too much of a focus for the offense. Strange year.

  1. What’s strange now is that everybody is talking UCLA recruiting and SC is talking about when Lane will get canned. 38-28!

  2. Guess we won’t be hearing from Thai for a while:

Three men are still at large in connection with an investigation into South LA street gangs allegedly controlled by an imprisoned Mexican Mafia member who delivered orders — some of which directed gang members to target USC students — through his daughter and son-in-law.

Eighteen people were arrested early Thursday as part of a two-year probe.

  3. I feel so alive!,.. the Trojan faithful are out in full force, firing back at the ruin trolls, and there dropping like flys

Why are you asking us?….You’re the expert when it comes to stuff like that….dummy!…lol

      • sugar sweeeet! i address the “Dummies” and within minutes, Dumbbell answers!! talk about TOTALLY OBSESSED!!

        HAWR-HAWR!!!

ok i’m waiting for the jr high/homo retort……or will dumbbell be able to resist?? i doubt it…

        • “how does Cadre A$$ taste??”

          That doesn’t qualify as immature?

Congrats on that BCS champi,…..wait….BCS bowl bi….wait….Pac-12 Champio…..wait…..

  4. Congratulations to Marqise Lee on his well-deserved Biletnikoff Award. A shame that Ertz and Franklin, two other deserving Pac-12 offensive standouts, were not winners.

  5. I readily admit that I throw my jabs, but the situation at USC is getting so bad that I’m starting to feel serious pity for the school’s debacle (especially towards the sc fans that troll here so much).
The above blog post by SW is yet another reminder of how far sc has dropped from preseason predictions. I’m a fan of the Bruins, but I’m also a fan of the Pac 12 and of the rivalry, so I want to see the trojans improve next season so that the games will be interesting.

    • excellent points, GS, you show a lot of poise and moxie in the face of these trOXan dumbbells.

i agree the historic collapse of Southern Cal this year has reached such an dramatically low point, a sense of pathos is to expected. but feeling sorry for the trOXans, ehhhhh, i just cant get there!!

but i suppose the only thing worse than being whipped by your enemy, is having them pity you!!

      HAWR-HAWR!

      • No, it is worse when you have to beat down someone in order to try to lift yourself or program to respectability. If Fuclans used some manners you would get treated differently here.

      • Thanks, Chucker Bucker. I agree. I specifically chose the word “pity” over the word “sorry” because most would argue that usc, its team, and its fan base really could have prevented this debacle well before it took root; they didn’t and now they are paying the price. Of course, others would say that the arrogance, especially at the top levels of the administration, is so ingrained at sc that there was no way of preventing this downward spiral.

Either way, sorry/sorrow is most definitely not what I feel.

        Fools…fools I do pity though.

    • I don’t really think USC fans can troll a USC site, by definition. But thanks, either way. As usual, I will take my Pepto and root for you to beat Baylor, but plebs like Bucket keep making me want to change my mind.

  6. Yes Wolfie, strange indeed. A year ago who would have thought, neither USC or Oregon would win their division let alone the conference, Notre Dame would be undefeated and playing in the BCS Champ, and UCLA’s head coach be wooed by other teams.

  7. Yes, I did predict this. He should be the winner or at least runner up for the Heisman as well.

  8. Congratulations to Kiffin for another dumb @$$ response to

MB: Lee was too much of a focus for the offense.

    LK:”No I don’t think that’s true. Basically, Marqise Lee
had one more catch than Robert Woods did the year before, so when you have
players like that you want to make sure they’re touching the ball.”
