Oregon State defensive coordinator Mark Banker talked to the Corvallis Gazette-Times being mentioned as a candidate to become USC’s defensive coordinator: ““I had people telling me while I was on the road that I was going ( to take a job) there. I haven’t talked to Lane Kiffin at all. At this time of the year there are things that are out there.” Link here.

    Leave it to Kiffin to screw up this opportunity, in procrastinating a search to seek & hire a really good defensive specialist (while there are still a few out there who have not been locked up in committments). I can only wonder if LK is taking his time purposely as to not embarress his father? Lord help us if we harm the father’s feelings over the good of the program! You can be sure Lane will have a excuse ready…
