Salary Checks

USA Today did its comprehensive check of assistant coaches’ salaries this week. But since USC is a private and tends to be undercounted.

Monte Kiffin was the highest-paid assistant but that was his 2010 salary, whch is undoubtedly higher today. And we hear defensive line coach Ed Orgeron also makes more than $1 million.

It is safe to say USC has the highest-paid staff in America.

  1. It is painfully obvious that sc football will not markedly improve with Haden running the show. This, to the detriment of the sc football program and, by default, to that of every other sports program that depends on funding from football.

  2. At 7-5 money well spent! Notice that Sark makes about 20K more than Kiff and Mora and Rodriguez make significantly less.

  3. That type of reputation of paying coaches very well will help get the DC we need in spite of the head coach and future play caller.

  4. “But since USC is a private and tends to be undercounted.” Huh? Shouldn’t “writers” be well educated in the English language?

  5. “It is safe to say USC has the highest-paid staff in America.” a statement without foundation or fact For example Alabama lists +9MM inc Saban’s 4.5MM. LF makes 2.5MM are you saying the rest of the USC staff makes more then 7MM?
