USC v. UCLA

The Bruins play Baylor in the Holiday Bowl tomorrow. USC plays in the Sun Bowl obviously. If UCLA loses to Baylor, the Bruins will be 0-3 since defeating the Trojans.

But even if USC defeats Georgia Tech, didn’t the Bruins have the better season? Discuss.

  1. God Dayum it!! Who is the (are the) idiot(s) always thumbing down everybody’s comments or thumbing up stupid comments all over this f’n blog???

  2. 9-3 v 7-5 regular season. 38-28. Ranked v unranked. Mora v Kiffen. Any way you slice it, the answer is BOOM!

  3. Of course they did. Fucla was expected to be horse$h!t and turned out to be just a dog turd. Meanwhile the Trojans underachieved. Scott, it’s just like your blog and columns. High expectations, low results.

  4. Yes, but it’s an apples and oranges comparison: One team has been mediocre for a decade, so 9-4 is a success–despite the last two losses (having come at the hands of the #6 team in the nation). In SC, you have a program that has won 10 or more games in 8 of the past 10 seasons. So going 7-5 is very disappointing. The more intriguing question is what kind of trajectory these teams are on heading into the next 2-3 years.

  5. wolfman, this should be the last time you provide this gladiator style match-up!!! there is no longer a need for this, the rivalry is, for all practical purposes, OVER!!!

UCLA dominates in Football, Basketball and Baseball!!!!

    trOXans are NOTHING!!!!

oh, i feel SO ALIVE!!!! and TINGLY!!!! and i mean tingly EVERYWHERE!!!!!!

    • ucla didn’t play Oregon or Notre Dame or even UW. Rice and Houston were garbage this season. Barely held on vs. WSU. Lost twice to Stanford home and away. Cal beat the crap out of the ‘ruins. Lucky to get an OT win vs. ASU. Better season for them only because expectations very high for the Trojans and mediocre for the bruins.

  6. UCLA had the better season. This is obvious. I love that Scott Wolf poses the question regardless. He’s begging for some action on his worthless site. LOL feel sorry for his life.
