There seems to be some spin emerging here that USC’s defense was the problem and not the offense.
That fits nicely into making Monte Kiffin the scapegoat and taking Lane Kiffin off the hook. It also ignores the fact USC scored 14 points against Stanford, has a third-down conversion percentage ranked 94th nationally and consistently failed to deliver in clutch situations.
Let’s say everyone deserves a fair share of the blame for a 7-5 season.
