Wide receiver Marqise Lee just warmed up before the Sun Bowl and appeared to be OK. The bigger issue could be the wind, which was gusting strongly.

Shannon To Arkansas

TCU assistant coach Randy Shannon, whose name was floated as a possible candidate to be USC’s defensive coordinator, was hired tonight as linebackers coach at Arkansas.

About Those Cleats

After watching about half of USC players practice in these shoes, I rank them as the worst yet courtesy of Nike. I’d rather see USC wear its red and silver shoes, or better yet its old black shoes.

Robey Fired Up For Sun Bowl

Cornerback Nickell Robey said he is not taking the Sun Bowl lightly.

`The reason we feel like that as players  is because this is our team and we can dictate if it is good or bad,” Robey said. “It’s about making a statement or sending a message.”

Not Too Good For Sun Bowl

Lane Kiffin was asked today if USC would be disappointed playing in the Sun Bowl against a team with a 6-7 record (Georgia Tech).

“Sometimes that would be an issue if we were sitting here 11-1 but not the way we played down the stretch.”
