I have not predicted yet. Where do you predict? Well, Rivals made a mammoth prediction and you can see for yourself where their panel expects all the big names to end up signing next week.
The only USC athlete on the football and basketball teams is Zach Banner. So did he think last night’s basketball victory made up for the football loss to the Bruins?
“That mindset was in my head after the game,” Banner said. “Of course it feels good. It does feel good to get a win. I would have to say yes.”
USC was 3-10 against the spread last season. You can pore through this list of 124 teams to see if anyone was worse.
Here is my recap of last night’s upset victory over UCLA.
Meanwhile, you can see how many USC commits, decommits and future commits made the Cal-Hi Sports all-state team.
“This is just a huge win, it’s UCLA,” Cantu said. “We were never going to hang our heads in the overtime. The guys hung in there. This was about the team and keeping our poise.”
In tonight’s post-game press conference, UCLA point guard Larry Drew was asked about the next USC game.
“I know how I’m going to approach the next game, go out there and kill them, for real,” Drew said. “When we play ‘SC again, it’s going to be war.”
“It’s history to come in here and come out wuth the victory in our first time in the new building,” point guard Jio Fontan said.
“This is a big win,” center Dewayne Dedmon said. “This should get our wheels rolling.”
The teams are tied, 65-65, but Jio Fontan and Eric Wise each has four fouls. UCLA incorrectly spelled Marques Johnson’s name as “Marcus” on the video board when showing him at the game.
Unless you need to use the bathrooms, the new Pauley Pavilion looks suspiciously like the old version except for some seats behind the baskets and no more bleacher seats.
USC leads 46-35 with 15:30 left as the Trojans are playing one of the better games of the season. So far.
If you want to watch the USC-UCLA game tonight, you need the Pac-12 Network. Good luck!
