LaRue Decommits

Wide receiver Sebastian LaRue decommitted from USC today. This is not a surprise because even when he committed he was not solid. And the spin is he is not considered good enough by USC to play wide receiver. Why USC took his commitment in the first place is a bit odd because I always got mixed signals about him in Heritage Hall.

Nevertheless, this is not like Eddie Vanderdoes’ decommitment. If anything it frees up another scholarship. Maybe USC can sign another defensive lineman instead.

        Actually, despite UCLA’s mediocre seasons leading up to this year, the recruiting rankings have been fairly close. National rankings by year:
        2013 – USC 9, UCLA 10
        2012 – UCLA 12, USC 20
        2011 – USC 4, UCLA 55
        2010 – USC 5, UCLA 8
        2009 – UCLA 5, USC 9

        Neuheisel knew how to recruit; he just didn’t know how to coach.

The “unabomber” had classes rated above Stanford and Oregon and they have been handing it to you. Your OL sucks and he has only recruited 2 in this class, although the class is ranked highly. So, a simple ranking means squat if a class has no balance. Are you smart enough to understand that? You want to keep your coach around longer until you are back to about the 5th or 6th best program in the PAC?

            Sure I’m proud, built up enough financial wealth to sell my business, send two kids to college and not have to trade hours for dollars, like I’m sure you do. My wife and I were longtime season ticket holders, when we still lived in in the area. We live in Las Vegas now, but still make it to at least four road or home games a year, something you wish you had the chance to do, LOL! If it makes you feel better, I did take some online classes through the University awhile back
