All-Freshmen Secondary

I mentioned this week but with Nickell Robey turning pro, USC will start next season with true freshmen vying to start at both safety spots (Su’a Cravens, Leon McQuay III) and cornerback (Jalen Ramsey, Chris Hawkins).

Is it likely they start? No, but I would be surprised if one starting safety and maybe one cornerback are not true freshmen next season.

What about all the talk that Deion Bailey will likely go back to Safety? Does that mean one of the freshman redshirts or moves to CB?

Sure would be a great opportunity for a quality JC player to transfer in and get a starting position.
Last season as upper classmen, those two seniors, Harris and Starling, showed nothing for their seniority, so maybe Freshmen or JC transfers can create better chemistry and do a better job at defending, especially with a new DC.
