Robey Going Pro

USC cornerback Nickell Robey said this afternoon he would skip his senior season and enter the NFL draft. Robey was projected as a top-four round draft pick in the NFL’s evaluation he requested last month.

His departure means USC will lost at least three of the four starters in the secondary from 2012.

      Choke? Most people didn’t think his team would get this far into the playoffs with the current roster. If anything, his team overachieved.

      Of course, as soon as I say that, they’ll probably go 7-9 next year. =)

      His team came back down 14 last week and down 20 today. Hell of coach just 20 seconds short. the last drive by Falcons was clutch.

        The Falcons’ last drive was clutch but why the Seahawks decided to go with a Prevent defense to allow the Falcons into field goal territory is beyond comprehension. Then again, teams do this all the time and it just doesn’t make sense.

      Outside of him being basically INVISIBLE in run support, was his play really that bad? I honestly didn’t pay attention to him much. Did he get beat for a bunch of first downs and TDs?

      I kept thinking that opposing QBs started throwing to the other side. The only times I’d notice him is when he didn’t want to help gang tackle a ball carrier and he’d tip toe around the pile.

    Scott, I don’t think you have this right–you are saying above and in your column that “the NFL’s early evaluation said Robey would be a top-four round selection.” The evaluation said he would be a 4th round or later pick.
