Silver Lining For 2013

Most of the way-too-early top 25 polls for next season do not include USC. And why would they? USC has a new quarterback, new secondary and the same coach. But here is where Lane Kiffin could be happy; There are no expectations. Just like in 2011.
He clearly gripped up in 2012 and the Trojans fed off his stress from being ranked No. 1. That won’t be his problem next season. We won’t have to hear excuses or that stats don’t matter.
Only one thing will matter: Winning.

  1. He’s clearly shown that he can’t handle the pressure of being ranked number 1 nor can he handle the pressure of crucial game situations. Being unranked and having no expectations is not what USC football is about, basketball, yes, football, no.

  2. Sorry Scotty, there are expectations still. He has to win 8 games or he’s gone. Even Lane’s smart enough to understand this, ranked or not.

    • The schedule is the easiest in SC history so 8 games will be no problem even though we’ll be starting all freshmen in the secondary. I think 10 is doable since we don’t play the Ducks or Huskies.

      • it’s good the schedule is easy because SUC’s team sucks. And at best OSU in place of UW is a wash.

  3. Boy, have the Women of Troy sank to a new low! I don’t hear about Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame, LSU, or UCLA happy because there is no pressure; they just plug the next group of studs in and go win championships! Pansy On!

    • Bill, the game of football is waaay too complicated for you……How’s that breakfast sandwich selling

      • WTF…you insult gays and now people who work for a living selling breakfast? You are the biggest troll if you ask me.

        • Sorry!… I didn’t know you worked for the golden arches….how about the third finger in

    • >Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame, LSU, or UCLA
      >Notre Dame, LSU, or UCLA
      >UCLA
      >UCLA?

We’re talking about football here man.

        • Paraphrasing what I was questioning was him saying “UCLA just plugs in the next group of studs and wins championships”. Tell me more about your UCLA championships.

  4. Hey Browney or Witlick, remember your left tackle for the next three years is going to be Max Turd! Look out for Number 11!

  5. Looking at USC’s schedule there are 6 games that USC could easily lose. Locking them in at 8 to 10 seems a bit of a reach. The game you are all missing is Utah State11-2 last year. The two games they lost were by 5 points total to Wisconsin and BYU. Beat #20 Louisiana Tech and won there bowl game big. Lots of key returners. After a 3-0 start USC could be 3-4 with that block of teams they are playing.

    • Thanks to my selective amnesia, I don’t remember last year. Starting there, I see 3 games we might lose: ND, @OSU (we haven’t won there in forever), and Stanford. Both Arizonas are flawed, ooc is pretty weak, and utah/cal are rebuilding. And we should always beat UCLA. *Should*

    • It’s closet fans, part of a underground fraternity lead by spudjuice. I think pledge week is right around the corner, should be interesting
