Oregon 76, USC 74

A lively debut under interim coach Bob Cantu as the Trojans missed three shots in the final seconds. Guard J.T. Terrell’s season-high 22 points led the Trojans while Eric Wise added 17. One thing that hurt USC was free throws. The Trojans were 20-32 (63 percent).

Cantu: “It was an emotional week and it was difficult. We played hard to the end and continued to fight. It was a great college basketball game. We had our chances. We had three shots at the end.”
