Here’s some comments on interim coach Bob Cantu’s first victory at USC:

“His blood bleeds cardinal and gold,” guard Jio Fontan said. “It breaks the ice for him.”

“To be a part of Cantu’s first win, I couldn’t be happier for him,” guard Byron Wesley said. “Cantu definitely has some philosophies different than (O’Neill). I know if I take some bad shots, Cantu will tell me to keep being aggressive.”

“It feels great,” Cantu said. “When the 15-point lead starts evaporating your blood pressure goes up a little bit.”
