  2. USC will have the #1 rated class when all is said and done. Wonder what UCLA will do to try and get under the 85 number since they will need to get rid of about 8 players from the team.       This year, SUCks is picked to finish 3rd or 4th in the South division, so you might make a Bowl Game and have another opportunity to DISGRACE yourselves, while UCLA is picked to win the South Division AGAIN. You have more “stars”, while we have more CHAMPIONSHIPS.

      (Funny how all UCLA fans hope GOAT BOY stays at SUCks for ever, while most SUCks fans keep spreading rumors of Mora going to some NFL team, huh?)

  4. When was the last time UCLA had a better recruiting class? I would suspect it would have to go back to the 90’s?

        • This is CRN’s team that Mora is playing with. He was a good recruiter but shot himself in the foot with assistant hirings and the dreaded pistol offense with only a semi-mobile QB in Prince.

          I don’t remember any of the recent teams coming close to USC’s recruiting. I’m still surprised Ellis McCarthy decided to go there last year.

          • That is exact why UCLA got 7 OLine commitments, and the reason why our class is already better than yours, because UCLA addressed the areas in need, unlike USC who goes out after 5-star recruits regardless of the position they play and with 10 scholies short? You just shot shot yourself on the foot…with only two OLine commitments, this class is the worst class I can remember USC having in the last 8 years.

        I was reading something about the rivalry recently and can’t believe the first few contests between the schools were so lopsided with SC blowouts that they stopped playing each other!

  5. UCLA will crush SC on Scout, be about even on Rivals and be lower on ESPN. All that’s irrelevant though – 32-28! SC will remain just a paper tiger under Lane.

  6. The fact this is even an issue says just how great Kiff and Co are at recruiting. 15 player class and SC is in the discussion, amazing. The bottom line, when grading on the quality of the recruits SC is by far the best in the country currently 4.43* average is unheard of; if you don’t factor in size and just count total points UCLA is in the discussion. I was always impressed with Rick’s recruiting and Jimmy is doing very well also. If USC signs a full class they should lead FUcla accross the board, and will like be #1 in the country.

Remember after nc game with texas all ucla fans that’s it your programs done, and then how many rose bowl games did they make and win after. Usc is a good coach away from being back, just like the other traditonal powers in football and like ucla in basketball

Games are won in the trenches. Look at your class!! You have two OLine commitments, and you have 3 DLinemen in this class and WORSE you used those scholies first more DBs instead of replacing the decommitted DLibemen and is just LAUGHABLE!!! And rge SUC are stupid they can’t see that this USC class is the worst in recent memory.

        • sorry for all the typos, I was using my phone and “spellcheck” was not on…what I was trying to say was, SUC had 3 decommitted DLinemen and they used those new available scholies to get more DBs, instead of addressing their lack of depth at the DLine and especially at the OLine. It seems they are more consumed with getting 5-star players regardless of the position they play than go for a sleeper 3-star player taht would fill in the void left by graduating players. I am totally okay with that, because I hate USC, but these delusional trojies are all about “star power” and bragging rights of having an average of 4.43 stars per recruit….LAUGHABLE!!!

  7. Preseason and in season rankings are for entertainment. UCLA will dominate sc in the coli Nov 30 2013. There will be another hush over trogon-dum. Kiffy will be stripped of his sc paraphernalia an shown the door. LoL!!!

          I don’t know how long you’ve been a ucla fan, but it was once tough to get ucla tickets during the McNown years.

  8. Generally scouts rating are based on amount of recruit and not so much star rating as rival does it. Still pretty impressive with the season usc had and limitations there still able to compete in recruiting and kind of downer for ucla fans even with usc being limited and ucla having the season they had they might still finish lower then usc.

    • Why would we be down? We have competent and engaging coaches who local coaches and football players respect. No hot seats in Westwood. It will take another good year of football for Mora to build that Terry Donahue like equity locally and nationally. We are trending up my friend.

        • No doubt. sc won”t stay down forever. sc has lots of resources and a storied football tradition. Unfortunately, sc will have to suffer through this downward trend for a few years.
