USC Adds A Long Snapper

Zach Smith of Atherton, Calif., agreed to attend USC as a preferred walk-on. Freshman Peter McBride was USC’s long-snapper on punts and kicks until late in the season when he just handled punts.

            Roll of the dice. We’ll just have to wait and see, I guess. At this point, the team can’t afford to make anymore mistakes with Lane at the helm and Pat Haden overseeing a team on the brink of irrelevancy for years if they don’t get it together.

            Although I have been vocal about my opinion of Lane’s performance I think he did the right thing here given the scholarship limitations- let the kid walk on and see what he can do- if he pans out we can give him a scholarship after the sanctions end.
