Morning Buzz

With USC down a couple coaches after the firing of secondary coach Marvin Sanders and departure of linebackers coach Scottie Hazelton, could Lane Kiffin take a creative approach and hire an offensive coordinator to call plays?

New defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast could coach the secondary, which would allow Kiffin to hire an offensive coordinator with one of the open staff spots. It would be the most transformative things to happen in the offseason if it occurs.

  • Sweeeet scoopin’ wolfman!

sometimes we on the blog forget that you are a first rate beat writer who misses NOTHING. after all, the media refers to you as the Best Beat Writer in America!!!

the Cadre fully supports that contention.

  • You are presenting this as a question, or are you providing the inside scoop? Before you have stated that Kiffin wasn’t going to hire an OC, has something changed? Dont ask me the question, I come to you for Answers!

Kiffin is keeping everything quiet and probably was told to keep his mouth shut as we are getting so close to the signing deadline. I would think finishing this class will be the story until completed and the way it sounds they have plenty of work to do. The coaching positions will be addressed after that.
