USC v. UCLA

OK, it is the home stretch of recruiting and with four scholarships left, there are four players that USC seems locked in on: DE Kylie Fitts, DT Eddie Vanderdoes, LB Matthew Thomas, LB Quinton Powell.

But UCLA is considered at least on equal terms with Fitts and Vanderdoes. So will they go to the same school or split up?

  4. right now we truly need Vanderdoes more than Fitts. We would love to have both of them. UCLA has done an outstanding jog recruiting and landing commits from some guys who could be big time inside and outside linebackers. So these new guys if they don’t flip else where will provide that quality depth for our returning group of stud linebackers. Some of these guys will also play DE by virtue of the defensive scheme we run.UCLA has the athletes to run this type of defense. We desperately need depth at the DT / Nose Tackle position.
    If we get more DT depth I think we will have special defensive personnel packages this year to attack these spread offenses.

  5. Not that many people really care what jucla does. USC will have an exceptionally good recruiting class in spite of the last season record. Jucla #4? yea right! in your dreams. We will do just fine, jucla will continue to be the little brother (or is it sister) in town. Like the news says, keep track of your little children around the jucla campus.

  6. Steveg, I am not now, nor ever will be your brother–older, younger, or otherwise. I am your enemy. And right now, until November 30, UCLA owns USC. As the expression goes, all you have is today. And today, the Victory Blue shines blue and rings out from the halls of Westwood and Pauley Pavillion. All that matters is 38-28. 50-0 is irrelevant, as is 13-9, as is USC’s 7-game win streak against the Bruins in the 00s, and UCLA’s 8-game win streak in the 90s. All that matters is that right now, this year, UCLA is the superior program–and we own L.A. Until USC proves we don’t by beating us in the Colisseum, the loser (that’s you) loses all rights to brag.
