Looks like Gus Bradley is in and Chris Ault is out for the Nike “Coach of the Year Clinic.” Never fear, Lane Kiffin is still attending.

USC v. UCLA

OK, it is the home stretch of recruiting and with four scholarships left, there are four players that USC seems locked in on: DE Kylie Fitts, DT Eddie Vanderdoes, LB Matthew Thomas, LB Quinton Powell.

But UCLA is considered at least on equal terms with Fitts and Vanderdoes. So will they go to the same school or split up?

Daily Jason Hatcher Update

The defensive end will end up at USC, as some recruiting web sites say he secretly recommitted to the Trojans last week during a visit with defensive line coach Ed Orgeron. But a Kentucky web site said following his weekend visit, “after hearing things through the grapevine I am confident that Hatcher will end up in Lexington before it is all said and done.”

Morning Buzz

With USC down a couple coaches after the firing of secondary coach Marvin Sanders and departure of linebackers coach Scottie Hazelton, could Lane Kiffin take a creative approach and hire an offensive coordinator to call plays?

New defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast could coach the secondary, which would allow Kiffin to hire an offensive coordinator with one of the open staff spots. It would be the most transformative things to happen in the offseason if it occurs.
