Kylie Fitts Commits To UCLA

As expected the defensive end from Redlands switched to UCLA after USC told him he could not enroll in January. This turned out to be a straight business decision for USC: It decided it wanted safety Leon McQuay more than Fitts.

Whether it was ethical is something USC will let others decide. But in the end, it did cost them the defensive end.

  1. WOLFIE!!!!!!!! You’ve scooped the entire plant!!!!!
U-C-L-A! Any more decommitts for U-Stupid-Clowns?????
Fit on to all of you torgans out there every where

  2. Great Job Wolfman!!!!! Go BRUINS!!!!!!! Welcome to the Family Mr. Fitts. Now U can join Mr. A. Barr and give sc FITTS. LOL!!!!!!!!

  3. Someone is getting unfollowed en mass on Twitter. Oh, and McQuay might get unfollowed because his account is sending a DM virus that tries to steal Twitter logins and passwords. I think from this point forward, these kids need to prove themselves on the field as Trojans before they get any Twitter love.

  4. In all seriousness, the Fitts fiasco was Lane’s death blow to the program. Never, ever, burn a local kid for an OOS player. #8clap!

    • I think death blow is a little overstated. If SC does well on the field next year the recruits will be back. It’s not like they aren’t getting some very good players in this class. Will the coaches AND players step up? Time will tell.

      • Dude, really? answer this honestly, who would you rather play for, Kiffin or Mora?
Eddie Vanderdoes rejected USC so what will you say tomorrow when Vanderdoes commits to UCLA? just get over it, USC had a great run for 12 years and not it’s UCLA’s turn to shine, it’s usuall a 6 year cycle that USC extended for 12 years…but? it’s over!!! get used being on the losing side for the next 6 or 7 years at least, which is how long it’s gonna take USC to recover from the sanctions due to scholie reductions. It’s reality, and the sooner you realize this, the easier the “blow” to your ego will be.

  5. It was a crappy thing to do to Fitts But they needed Mcquay more. Time will tell if it was the right call.

  6. Scott, One thing to count on sure as the sun rises. If there is bad news or a way to put a bad spin on USC, it will come from you first! Really, I wish your paper would give you UCLA to cover, and bring somebody with some modicum of objectivity to cover USC.

  7. “During the year, when I was committed to USC, I looked across town and was almost kind of jealous, and it looked fun to play there and I saw how much fun they were having,” said Fitts. “I believe everything happens for a reason. Rigth when the incident happened, the d-line coach (Angus McClure) called right away and we had a good talk, and then talking with Coach Mora, I thought its the greatest coaching staff in the nation and UCLA is on the rise.”

No trolling necessary–the young man’s words pretty much sum up the difference between the two schools right now….

    • Typo in your post. It should read: Bruin for life, or Trojan who wins 4 games per year.

      • correction: SC owns the Rose Bowl! and bruins beat ‘SC once a decade. Never forget 50-0!

        • Present tense: 38-28 and kicking your butt/s this year in recruiting…Plus, UCLA is 9-7 vs SC at the Rose Bowl. So yeah, we OWN.

  8. I’m giving UCLA their due…..these decommits give us SC faithful nothing to feel good about……1-5 finish, a new quarterback who looks horrendous, an embarrassing bowl trip, deflate gate, and kiffin’s numerous goofs…..again I say Pat Fitzgerald where are you!!!!!!!!! Get it done Haden!!!!!!!!
