Regarding Pomee

Lane Kiffin said last night he suspended tight end Junior Pomee from all team activities following his arrest on felony charges related to allegedly stolen electronic goods.

Here’s the interesting takeaway I heard last night: Do not expect much support from the program such as when linebacker Simione Vehikite served three months in jail and was reinstated. Does this mean USC wants an extra scholarship? Or does it just not want Pomee? Either way, it appears things will be handled differently.

    From my recollection, Vehikite was also suspended. He served his time and was very contrite. Kiffin allowed him back on the team so he could finish his education. Pomee’s situation is still in the early stages. I’m not sure how you can say things are being handled differently.

            If U have been a sc fan for at least 6yrs., U R well aware of the sc players who were arrested. Mora only told the truth. Unfortunately those horrible crimes happen. Crimes happen everywhere we all know that. Players with a propensity to commit crimes seemly attend sc.

            Mora was asked about recruiting against usc and he said [paraphrasing] “ucla is great. we don’t have kids murdered on campus like at usc trolololol”. I wouldn’t call that “all class”. But it’s nice to see a bruin coach who’s willing to do anything to win.

    Simione served time and later reinstated. Pomee’s saga has just started. How is it
    being handled differently? Hope Junior can learn from this- his playing career is secondary to say the least.

    Unbelievable…USC might dismiss Pomee for something petty as stealing electronic goods? that is complete bullshit!! I remember 5 USC players were arrested for RAPE (Mark Sanchez, Eric Wright, Dennis Herschel, Winston Justice, and Darrel Russell…and another player that was arrested for rape at Colorado State, Frostee Rucker)…but they want to make Pomee an example?? effing crap, if you aske me. If he were a star on the team, not even a thought of his dismissal would exist.
