  1. He should get a really good parting package and be shown some respect after the slap in the face he received.

      • Not sure. So far, he seems to be quiet, at least publicly, but you know he has an opinion after Pola was plucked from under him. It’s funny to me that many fans are trying to back Kiffin’s decision to fire Pola. This is gonna affect the team in a negative way. For those who don’t believe me? Just read what USC players tweeted themselves on Reign of Troy in an article entitled USC Players React On Twitter To The Departure Of Kennedy Polamalu (by Trenise Ferreira).

        • Some say Lane sacked Kennedy because he was the logical choice to replace Lane as an interim head coach if the team implodes early this season.

          • Yeah. He was pissed at Kiff. I think Kiffin is quickly losing the respect of the players who still had respect for him. But, then again, there are always players that are hardcore no matter what…

  2. Aren’t the conditions of dismissal in every coaches contract? What is there to work out now? Every contract I’ve ever had has a clause for terminating the contract. Are you telling us Wolf that USC doesn’t do that? Really? Blowing more smoke?

    • Something else is going on, I think it’s a mutual thing. Go on the Reignoftroy website and read the article.

      • Most of the negative comments were from future, current and former running backs. Perhaps Pola is a very good running backs coach and motivator, not so good as Offensive Coord. Unable to call plays, leaving Kiffin to have to do it himself, unable to get the entire offense in sync, as evidenced by the false starts, motion and formation penalties. Also maybe it’s a matter of a Boy Wonder Head Coach with new ideas and an old school assistant not willing or able to change. Just some theories. Any answers out there?
