Recruiting Dinner First Sign of Polamalu Not Returning

Why didn’t USC assistant coach Kennedy Polamalu go to last week’s recruiting dinner on Signing Day with the rest of the coaching staff? A source within the football program said Polamalu was told not to attend by a USC administrator, the first real sign he would not return next season.

  1. Scott, I have to give you props on this. You were the first and only reporter who noticed Pola’s absence at the dinner and who wrote about it.

  2. Is it even worth mentioning the money situation and the whole “co-OC” restrictions. You’ve spent a lot of time pointing how absurd that title was, and why they had to do it ($). But it’s not a factor at all in these posts. I could guess why…okay I’m bored already.

  3. Oh no!!!! Anyone still holding out hope that Cornelius Elder would commit to UCLA, he’s on his way to Miami after the school offered him a football scholarship this morning. He accepted on the spot and will also play basketball for the Hurricanes. Tennessee’s two-time Mr. Football (Division II-AA) led the Ensworth School to three straight titles, but might rely on his quickness too much to be an every-down back

  4. So who does everyone that’s a Trojan think the new OC will be. I kind of like Shawn Watson from Louiville.
