USC Morning Buzz

According to sources within the USC football program, former running backs coach Kennedy Polamalu found out he was fired via the Internet and Trojans coach Lane Kiffin has not spoken to him since he was dismissed.

  1. “According to sources”?……more hearsay….Hey wolfman, try getting the true story from the horse’s mouth

    • Get some new material, it’s just pathetic how you recycle the same crap day after day….get a girlfriend

      • Scott’s reporting consists of reading other blogs, their message boards, writing as a UCLA troll when he’s angry or bored (which is all the time), and watching ESPN gamecasts of USC basketball games instead of traveling with the team. The LA Daily News gives him a press pass so he can stand around with 20 other reporters in huddle to ask questions after practices and games. He slinks into the pile, asks one questions at best, and proceeds to write as if he asked all the questions. His “sources” are anonymous message board posters from places like The Peristyle, and We Are SC Insider. This blog’s only purpose is for us to indulge our anger. Hence, only snarky comments, only question marks, Scott’s lowest-common denominator posts, and the REALLY smart (and clever – Oh that Charlie Bucket – what a ruse) UCLA fans.

    • I agree. Then we can get down to the bottom of this. However, the way Kiffin does things, I bet you what Wolf heard is true. Kiff has blundered so many things as of late that I bet some of his coaches an HH staff ARE itching to spill the beans to put him in check.

    • I am one who appreciates Scott’s observations, and I think you HAVE zeroed in on his biggest shortcoming. He speaks to someone and get an opinion, and doesn’t inquire with other sources, even better sources. It’s inexplicable.

  2. As much as I like to call BS on Wolfy’s “Sources”, would this really surprise anyone? This is right in line with the rest of Kiffin’s shenanigans.

  3. It will turn out to be true, remember Robo with the answer machine firing from Garrett? USC is one huge PR nightmare these days, maybe the school should hire a PR person to give Kiffin some pointers.

  4. Somethings missing here… this sounds similar to the MG-John Robinson scenario where Robinson made himself scarce when he figured he was getting let go, and after MG made attempts to personally contact him had failed, gave up & wired him the decision officially.

  5. Much ado about a running backs coach who coached at a time when USC’s running backs were not particuarly good.

There are probably many reasons why USC’s running game the past three years has been poor, and that is primarily because Kiffin would rather pass, but really, all the hand wringing over KP is silly. It’s not like Kiffin fired Vince Lombardi.

“But he’s a true Trojan . . .” Blah, Blah, Blah . . . Let it go, it ultimately means nothing.

Alabama went this route after Bear Bryant retired. Stallings gave them an NC, but the program quickly fell into averageness. Shula, the same thing.

But when they hired someone with NO CONNECTIONS TO BEAR BRYANT AT ALL they created the most dominant football “dynasty” since Bud Wilkerson’s Oklahoma Sooners in the 50’s.

So this “True Trojan” thing is a lot of crap.

    • But it’s not going to stop Scottie from pushing all the troll buttons to gin up hits. SWEET SCOOP WOLFIE . . .

    • When the line doesn’t block running backs can’t do much. Fired the wrong coach but when has Kiffin ever made the right decision. .

  6. Hold on.. “someone who over heard someone say” reporting? Are you a reporter or not? How come you can not ever report what you hear directly?

  7. This doesn’t add up. Because it was clear two weeks before officially being fired, that Coach Pola was done when he was not allowed to attend the recruiting dinner.

  8. Thanks for the most accurate and reliable information on the internet Scott. Now I have to get back to watching Fox News…

        • What update? They worship Hitlery and last I checked she is running for president in 2016 if the Muslim doesn’t declare himself Emperor.

  9. Has Wolf actually ever INTERVIEWED a player or former coach outside of the Kiffin pressers?

And at the pressers he asks questions with the agenda of irritating Kiffin?

SW: “Would you have called a different play on that 4th and goal a few months ago against Notre Dame?”

Kiff: “Thanks for bringing that up again..”
