The defensive backs ran the 40 at the NFL combine this morning and three USC players participated: T.J. McDonald (4.59), Nickell Robey (4.53) and Jawanza Starling (4.64). Robey’s time probably did not help because he is a cornerback and not a safety like McDonald and Starling.
