Spring Questions

Here are a few questions for USC’s spring practice:

1. Who will call plays?

2. Who will play quarterback?

3. Who starts in the secondary?

4. Who believes in Lane Kiffin?

  1. Play calling is the big question. If Kiffin’s ego won’t let go then I think it will be a bad season with him gone at the end. If Helton calls plays we should have a marked improvement of offense with better decision making and clock management. If they start Brown it will be a big mistake, redshirt him one season to mature. The other questions are bullshit.

  2. 1. You know the answer. Stop trolling
    2. A rare interesting question from Wolf. Maybe you can report on it.
    3. See question 2.
    4. The same number of people who consider you a credible source of information.

  3. Wolf, I don’t get it. It’s like you have a personal vendetta against Kiffin. I don’t like the guy, either, but being a good journalist doesn’t mean that everything you report is a criticism. Granted, there’s not much to praise about Kiffin but at a certain point, everyone stops taking you seriously because you’ve taken the bashing too far (or made it too repetitive). It’s like he banged your mom, or something. Give it a rest and report on something we want to read about. Not the same old Kiffin crotch kicks.

    • Scott should never be confused with a JOURNALIST.

He’s a BLOGGER that somehow gained a press pass, yet some of us fans who can’t attend practices know more than him.

The vendetta is there, but all of these are deliberate attempts to simply “stir the pot” rather than reporting actual news or give an interesting perspective on matters. Think of this site similar to the flasher with a small weaner at a park: Not a classy way of gaining attention, but attention gained at any cost.

  4. 1. Kiffin
    2. Kiffin’s pet
    3. Kiffin doesn’t care
    4. Kiffin and his his mom…maybe not even his mom.

  5. Secondary is a huge question and Lane can’t afford to put Browne in and write off the season to learning on the job.

  6. In all seriousness, why is Kiffin so caught upon calling plays on game day? Even most organized High School teams have plays scripted for all situations. Down, distance, scrimmage yard line, time left in the game. Thats what game planning is! During the game play caller picks plays that have been scripted as you game plan prior to the game that all the coaches especially the Head Coach influence on. You make adjustments to how to run the plays if the other team makes a scheme change during half time and during when you don’t have the ball. Everyone has the same chart. Kiffin could always ask for certain plays to be called if he likes even if he wasn’t sending in the plays…It is truly baffling. Head Coach’s job on game day is that every facet of the game plan is going according to plan…

  7. Scott, you left out another important question: Who is going to manage the games since it sure hasn’t been done well the last few years.

  8. 1. Kiffin
    2. Wittik, no one else has a shot even if the kids blows
    3. SC has a defensive secondary ?
    4. Pat Haden, and that’s all that counts.
