USC Officially Pursuing Jamie Dixon

Several sources indicated USC is speaking to Pitt coach Jamie Dixon about becoming the Trojans’ next basketball coach now that the Panthers’ season is over. Dixon’s local roots are seen as a big plus by athletic director Pat Haden, who wants USC to be a desination job and not a stepping stone.

    Who’s program did Jamie Dixon take over at Ptt? A certain BB coach stealing paychecks from the State of Calif. who has been on the hot seat recently. Has Pitt’s program improved that much since Dixon took over?

    I think Coach Dixon is a very good choice but I would throw everything to get Coach Smart from VCU. His teams are well coached and prepared for the NCAA tournament.

    I am wondering if Pitts poor rd 1 showing had anything to due with SC pursuing him. They looked very bad.
