Max Wittek Returns To Practice

Quarterback Max Wittek practiced Tuesday and said he felt good despite some soreness in his knee.

“I felt like a cybertron with two knee braces,” Wittek said. “I felt like I was going a little bit slow.”

Wittek said he would practice better Thursday after getting rid of the rust from not practicing for several weeks.

  1. Since Wolf doesn’t report what actually happens at practice, here’s some insight from last night:

    1. Wittek looked awful out of the 3 QB’s. He was picked off by Torin Harris and had a number of passes deflected. Kessler looked the best to me.

    2. McQuay got beat deep against Agholar and had all the spectators cheering.

    3. Torin Harris looked really good in 7 on 7s and full 11 on 11.

    4. Pendergast’s “5-2” looks more like a 3-4 on many occasions. This seems to suit Dawson better.

    5. George farmer continues to be a disappointment. He had a few key drops.

    6. DJ Morgan fumbled. What else is new??

In the middle of practice, Kiffin came up to us in the stands and made sure he shook every fan’s hand. He glanced over at us a few times before deciding to do his “campaigning”.

      • Thanks! I forgot to mention that John Robinson was watching from the field.

Just seeing his interest in the kids playing reminded me of how much he loves USC football. I didn’t even see him chat with anyone on the field. 100% of his focus was on watching the players go through their drills.
