Pac-12 Supervisor Of Officials Investigated For Comments About Arizona Coach Sean Miller

Ed Rush, the conference’s supervisor of officials, reportedly told the Pac-12 referees in a meeting at the Pac-12 Tournament he would give them $5,000 or a trip to Cancun if they gave Arizona coach Sean Miller a technical foul, according to CBSSports.com

“He now regrets during internal meetings that (he) referenced rewards, he made the comments in jest and the officials in the room realized they were not serious offers,” Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott told CBSSports.com.

What I don’t like about this story is that Rush’s predecessor, Bill McCabe, was forced out by Scott simply because he was not a big name like Rush, a former NBA referee. As you can see, being a big name doesn’t mean better.
