Why USC Should Be Bold And Try To Hire Gregg Marshall

USC is pursuing Florida Gulf Coast’s Andy Enfield today but why not make a large bid for Wichita State’s Gregg Marshall? At least Marshall’s got a proven track record and is well-known by college coaches for being a top coach.

Enfield could be a genius but right now he won two games in the NCAA Tournament. USC probably would counter that it cannot afford Marshall, who might want $2.5 million per year. But USC could afford it if it wanted to.

      • The “University of Second Choice” continually lives up to its name. Second fiddle EVERYWHERE (except womens diving and Water polo…I gotta wonder….What’s the percentage of SPECIAL ADMITS for womens Diving and Water polo , compared to the Football and Basketbawl Teams? Anybody dare to take a guess?) Maybe the answer is all in the WATER!
LIMBO U, where theres only one way to go….LOWER!
fit on torgans (but quit punching women!)

  1. Do they want to pay the BB coach the same as the football coach? If you don’t want a top BB program, why did you build Galen? Pay up for quality.

    • I have to agree here. Galan is a killer place to watch BB. Why build it if you’re not willing to go find a staff that can fill it?

  2. If you want USC to hire Marshall, then maybe you should stop whining about USC waiting to hire a coach. Or is consistency not your strong suit?
