New USC coach Andy Enfield met with the basketball team and coaching staff this morning. He said he did not know if he would retain any current assistant coaches but would let them know soon so they can pursue other jobs if necessary.

Center Dewayne Dedmon attended the meeting. Athletic director Pat Haden said it was too soon to know Dedmon’s status regarding his legal problems in Spokane, Wash. Dedmon might also turn pro, according to sources.

Enfield said it is important for the current players to get better because they will be the core of the team next season.
