The students from Annenberg TV News won a challenge and appeared on Chuck Todd’s Daily Rundown show on MSNBC this week. And Todd, the chief White House correspondent for NBC, couldn’t resist making light of the situation.
“I have to be nice to USC, I’m kidding, I’m kidding . . . I’ll leave the football stuff aside,” Todd said.

It’s only because of the high level of success, and expectations for USC football that a 7-6 season is seen as failure all over the country from people of every walk of life. If it was UCLA he wouldn’t even have made a sports remark.
You can use the fingers on one hand and easily count the college programs that would get a remark like that on a “non” sports network. Don’t tell me USC football isn’t thought about across the Country whether it is playing good football or not! Its the name brand and an envy of most others!!!!!
