Afternoon USC Notes Including Sprinter Bryshon Nellum’s Debut

Sprinter Bryshon Nellum ran the 400 meters in 45.5 seconds today at the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla. It was Nellum’s first race of the season after getting his sixth year of eligibility and a good time for this early in the season.

Meanwhile, Princeton women’s basketball coach Courtney Banghart has emerged as a candidate for the women’s basketball job. Barnhart joins Texas Southern coach Cynthia Cooper and former Duke coach Gail Goestenkors as candidates for the job.

Former USC women’s assistant coach Daron Park was named women’s basketball coach at Cal State Fullerton.

Nellum’s 45.5 time is not a “good time”, for this early in the season it is Amazing and it ranks top 2 in the world this season.

Courtney Banghart would be an inspired choice. She wins without cheating unlike Cynthia Cooper. She went : 22 – 7 overall, 13 – 1 in league play and made the NCAAs.
