Kiffin appeared on 570-AM this afternoon and stuck to his standard answers. Here’s a few highlights:
“We were not a physical team for the first time in a long time here,” he said about last season. Kiffin probably forgot that in 2010 he also complained about lack of physical play.
Kiffin said linebacker Lamar Dawson and wide receiver Nelson Agholor were two players that had a big spring.
“We’ll make that decision as we get closer to the fall,” Kiffin said about who would call plays. Petros Papadakis said afterward he believed Kiffin should not call plays next year.

We were physical but the problem was we accumulated stupid penalties at an alarming rate. Even in the fucla loss we started off with a needless personal foul on Hundley to keep the first touchdown drive alive. Kiffin should be talking about discipline, not being more physical, unless he intends to run the ball more and call less fade routes.
Kiffin needs to do a lot of things differently this season. Foremost, get out of the way of his assistant coaches so they can do their jobs, and maybe bring them coffee & sandwiches when they’re hungry…
Must’ve been the stupid players making the stupid mistakes.
Lane should stay home for the draft like Matt Barkley. I told you he is not tough enough for the NFL. He looks like a sweet cherub. I just want to give him a bottle and put him back in his bassinet.

He talks about the 2011-2012 Proudly and wants you to believe the 2012-2013 season was an aberration. O.K., then how does he explain his near 500 record as a HEAD COACH?

Kiffin & his father alone, in 18 months, turned this once respected program into a possible trainwreck. I cannot think of too many more ways Kiffin can sabotage what positives this program still has. Its an ignorance, that up to now, has been left unchecked and allowed to foster. And he is being paid handsomely at the same time. He should write a book, if Wolf doesn’t first, on how you make it up-the-ladder with so limited of skills to handle the situation. The “Peter Principle” is at its peak example here!
