CBS Sports Analyst Phil Simms Weighs In On Matt Barkley

Here’s what the former NFL QB and Super Bowl winner said about the USC QB:

“I don’t think he will be drafted in the first round. If I was ranking the quarterbacks one-to-five, I would put him five. He knows how to play. Good experience at USC. He has run an offense that kind of makes you throw the football down the field. I like that. He plays with a lot of poise. But physically, what’s going to make him have great success?”

  1. Bucket, no one cares to hear your lame a$$ thoughts, which would just be a repeat from days gone by. So run along and put your head back in the hole

PS….any updates on the cranium exam?

  2. HAWR-HAWR!!! FINALLY the truth starts to come out!!!

as i said before, the GM who actually get PAID to evaluate talent will leave the Pious Passer on the shelf like an gas station weenie!!!

what an amazing flop Pious was!!!

hey Pious, why don’t you point at the scoreboard now, fat a$$!!!!!!

  3. Says the guy who threw for more INTs than TDs at Morehead State, was exactly the same size as Barkley with no mobility either, and managed to get drafted seventh in 1979 because the Giants thought Steve Walsh was gonna take him. Simms – a good QB, no argument here – wouldn’t have even been considered 7th round material by today’s ridiculous standards.

  4. I’ve never agreed with a man whose face is a spitting image of the Michellin man mascot, but I’ve got to agree with Simms on this one.
