Armond Armstead Case Moves Forward

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled today there were enough specific details at the moment for former defensive lineman Armond Armstead’s lawsuit to continue against USC. Armstead alleges USC
doctors gave him painkillers that caused a heart attack and hurt his pro careerJudge Yvette Palazuelos also denied USC’s request to place depositions on hold.

USC wanted the delay because Hospira Inc., the maker of the painkilling drug Toradol, was recently brought into the case via a cross-complaint filed by SportsPharm Pharmaceuticals Inc.

  2. According to the Physicians Desk Reference, Toradol is a powerful antiinflammatory/analgesic drug with serious potential side effects but cardiac arrest is not one of them. Armstead had a great year with Toronto and now has a shot on the Patriots. Move on Armond. What’s he looking for and what kind of legal advice is he getting?
