A Further Thought On Katin Reinhardt Transferring

I forgot to mention how shocked everyone must be that a Mater Dei player is leaving his original college. I could go back to 1986 when Tom Lewis transferred from USC to Pepperdine andĀ Matt Beeuwsaert transferred from Notre Dame to California.

But lets move to the past few years. Eight Mater Dei players have transferred since 2007, including Taylor King (Duke, Villanova, Concordia), the Wear twins (North Carolina, UCLA) and Keala King (Arizona State, Long Beach State, TBA).

Reinhardt is just the latest. I bet Andy Enfield wants a 3-point shooter but does he really want Reinhardt to play point? Count me as extremely skeptical that would work in the Pac-12.

  1. Wolfman…take a knee..I’ve got this one. Reinhardt, at the point, would fill the vacancy created by JIO (“He’s a Brick House”). Jio’s playmaking skills were average at best, and all of us by now, are very familiar with his typical O-fer shooting nights. With a little work Katin would be an upgrade over Jio and anyone else on the superior Gals or Men’s team.
    fit on torgans!

  2. Mike Gerrity, a former Mater Dei standout, found success as a point guard at USC. Gerrity played at two other colleges before hooking on with USC.
