USC Morning Buzz

With Matt Barkley generating excitement in Philadelphia, Eagles fans are probably eager to read something like this, which argues Barkley was not worse in 2012 from a statistical standpoint than in 2011.
That is a fine argument, unless you actually watched the games last season and saw Barkley’s performances on a weekly basis. There were other factors, of course, like the offensive line and an over reliance on Marqise Lee. But the fact is Barkley did have a poor season.

  1. Did I miss something or is Barkley still at USC? Scotty your obsession with Matt is way past the healthy point. Bucket is going to get jealous. According to sources your going to make Bucket dye his hair blonde and start calling him Brittney

  2. this article is so Pro Pious Passer, it’s laughable. how could you
compare accuracy and not mention the incovenient fact he threw TWICE as many INT’s in ’12 than ’11.

and the “author” tinkers with the data factoring out “drops”….oh and what do you know, it also does not mention the most important NFL measurement of all: 4th Qtr comeback victories, of which the Pious Passer had ZERO in FOUR FULL seasons as Sothern Cal starting QB!!

this is why he was a 4th rounder and should have been a 5th rounder according to most NFL GM’s.

wolfman, this writer is an amateur and should read all of your articles to brush up on the true art of re-por-tage!!!

    • Looks like you got the blogger to respond to you.

If the blogger takes Wolf’s lead, he will eliminate any type of analysis, interviews, or direct quotes!

  3. I’ve been to Philadelphia…There’s excitement there ? Really ? As the new Rutgers AD would say…WOW

  4. I love how these rah rahs try to tell Scott Wolf what is proper to write about during the summer dolldrums .

  5. I mean that is great and all.. But can we possibly get some current INSIDE USC News? Last I checked Barkley was no longer on the roster, but you keep writing about him.. WHY?
