Baseball Draft Tough On USC

Today’s baseball draft took a toll on USC with first baseman Dominic Smith selected 11th by the New York Mets, shortstop J.P. Crawford selected 16th by the Philadelphia Phillies and third baseman Ryan McMahon selected 42nd by the Colorado Rockies.

If you go by the pool amount, Smith could get $2,840,300, Crawford $2,299,300 and McMahon $1,327,600.

  1. Is this supposed to be a bad thing?

Oh, I could be sarcastic about the coaching, but isn’t it great for these young athletes that USC has been privileged to bring along? I’m going to make a mental note of their names for days to come.

  2. It happens. Riley Unroe was also drafted in the 2nd.

Congrats to all of the USC signees that have been drafted and will be drafted. It’s a great honor and opportunity.

          • Don’t worry. Chuckles fixed you’re but not 70’s. He isn’t terribly well informed on the proper use of the apostrophe. Then again, he did pass his GED back in the 70s, so his lack of knowledge of the language matches his lack of knowledge of anything that requires a modicum of athletic ability.

      • hey T-whores, looky-looky!!!!!

Gutty Bruins, take the first game in extra innings!!!!

i guess we don’t to worry about a sweep now, huh T-whores???

  4. I think that most of us who read this blog actually do appreciate Wolf’s willingness to criticize Kiffin, USC, etc., whether we agree with him or not in any particular case.

But jeez, talk about a “glass half empty” attitude — just look at the headline on this post.

    • Gee-ZUS!!! et tu WEB? you’ve joined the Legion of Dummies??

if wolfman saved a baby from a burning building, you people would complain he left the furniture to burn!!!

WHO ELSE is going to spend their time reporting on the lowly Southern Cal baseball team???

NOBODY, that’s who!! you should all line up and kiss wolfman’s A$$ for even caring!!

  5. Wow…back away from the bong, Buck-It! The only thing worse than a sore loser is a lousy winner….even a blind squirrel can find an acorn once in a while. …enjoy your soft serve cone with Grandpa Joe…..

  6. Looks like they are taking a pay cut to jump to the pros! It tells a lot about the SuC coaching!
