So What Do You Think Of NCAA’s Oregon Decision

No bowl ban, A one-scholarship reduction for three years. An 18-month show cause order for Chip Kelly. And three years probation. Not quite the USC decision, eh?

  1. HAWR-HAAAAWR!!!!

it keeps getting worser and worser, huh Dummies?

talkin’ ’bout a humiliating kick to the trOXans collective crotch!!!!

    OOOOOOF!!!!!

    OH, I FEEL SO ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!!!
(spinning with arms out looking up at sky)

    GOOD ONE, wolfman!!!

  2. what the dopes at SUC never understood is that they were penalized as much for their non-cooperation as they were for their cheating. Oregon cooperated, hence the seemingly fair punishment. Arrogance kills, and fortunately, it has killed the Trogies.

    • Everybody cooperates now that they saw what happened to the Trojans. Don’t be so stupid. OF COURSE they DID. And if SC had it to do over again, they would as well. Monday Morning QBing.

      • Who is behind YOU?…. you have obviously never heard of Phil Knight and his personal association with the University of Oregon…….

  3. Good ‘ol Haden was at ballet practice while the NCAA cut our nuts off. Thanks Pat.

  4. Uncle Phil’s check was money in the bank! You can’t hammer the school of one your primary sponsors, who is dropping major coin into their athletic programs. Find any way to justify it and punish the a guy that isn’t even there. Does this mean Miami will get to play in two bowls the next 3 years and be given 3 extra scholarships?

  5. The 18-month show cause order against Kelly, just starting his first NFL season, is pretty hilarious. They should at least make it a condition that the show cause order doesn’t kick in until he loses his current NFL job.

  6. I’m hearing USC will also receive further reduced scholarships for not monitoring Oregon and reporting them to the NCAA.

  7. I always thought when a coach or someone from the administration of the school knew about NCAA rules being broken that it was automatically a “Lack of Institutional Control”..

The NCAA dragged Todd McNair’s name through the mud for what “he should have known”.. Yet USC was punished with the death penalty..

If Chip Kelly was the one actually breaking the rules, why are you not punishing the institution? but a person that is not even at the school anymore?

  8. once again, I’m here to help you understand…

they used a street agent – that many other teams used as well – and that is the only thing that was not above the board

from what I heard, Cal, LSU, and others used the same agent, but it was Texas that got pissed because some Texas high schoolers left the state to play college football

those players probably would not even play at Texas

    • Thank you for helping us to understand……we were so very confused by all of this…..The prized recruit from Texas, Lache Seastrunk, wound up scampering back to Texas (Baylor University) after all the drama surrounding this street agent, who was apparently the one thing that was not above board…….Whew!…. I feel so enlightened…..

      • I meant that Seastrunk would probably not play at UT, (not all the schools in Texas)

so yes, it was all about Seastrunk – apparently, he was such a magnet to sanctions, that Oregon shelved him deep on the bench – hoping he would leave

and that is my opinion – I think he will have a great year at Baylor this season & I am sad that I won’t get to see him play for the ducks

on another note: pac12 still plays one more conf game while all the upper sec schools schedule a weakling at mid to late season to heal up their star players…

I don’t think think that Alabama with a convincing loss to A&M had a better case to be in the championship game than the Ducks who lost to Stanford on missed field goals

have a nice summer and good luck this season
