With Notre Dame Series Intact, USC Adds Other Underwhelming Opponents

Remember when USC used to add Ohio State or Auburn or Nebraska to its schedule? Here are the duds announced this morning: First, the “good” part. USC is going to play at BYU on Sept. 14, 2019, then host the Cougars on the Thanksgiving weekends of 2021 (Nov. 27) and 2023 (Nov. 25).

Now the rest: USC added home games against Arkansas State and Idaho in 2015 and New Mexico in 2016. The Trojans play Arkansas State on Sept. 5, 2015 and Idaho on Sept. 12, 2015. USC plays New Mexico on Sept. 3, 2016.

Think USC fans will like paying $65 (or more) for a ticket to those games?

  1. Scott, I am sure you don’t dance very often, but even you should know that it takes two to tango! …. I have no doubt that USC would be more than happy to schedule any of these top schools, so please don’t continue with your yellow journalism….BTW … congrats to you and Bucket on the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act……..

    • Yeah, Scotty is free to be himself now. Love for him to come out and confirm what we already suspect.

    • Typical Trogie – gay jokes are so 10 years ago – just like their football program.

          • Quiet, TrojanFan. You’re already being iggied by most people on this blog, so try to save face.
I’ve got some new info on you — You are either still the credit manager at Las Dunas Used Auto Sales in crappy North Las Vegas on N. Eastern Ave., or you were let go recently. How’s the job, chump? 😀

            How d’you like me now?

          • Nice try, idiot!!!…But your sources are pulling your dlck..ouch!!!!!.you really are that stupid

      • As of late, Bucket has been adding his share of gay jokes. What say you to that?

  2. USC played Idaho during one of those same seasons in which they played Nebraska — the “good old days” according to Wolf. Playing Idaho and Arkansas State in the same season does sound dreary, but it’s not USC’s fault that Texas A&M backed out. Home-and-home series with Texas coming after that, at least.

  3. Sounds about right. Of the 3 non-conference games, one should usually be hard, Notre Dame. Most schools don’t play 2 tough non-con games. And BYU could be hard. So they play one easy game. Different than SEC schools that usually play 4 easy games.

      • True, but that was before the BCS. That’s why an 8 game playoff, with 6 conference champions and 2 wildcards would be better. Teams would schedule big payday games that would help prepare them for conference, and not hurt them since winning their conference would assure them of a spot in the playoffs. This 4 game playoff does little, but it’s a start.

  4. Not everyone is as cheap as you!

Still no PAC12 network channel yet?….just what I thought!

  5. This is just another example of Mike Rae’s caddy being completely incompetent. He bends over for the NCAA and does not fight for the university’s best interests. He should have been fired long ago.

      • Please don’t insult the SEC fans in this way… they are much smarter than the trolls on this blog…..

        • only a trOXan would consider the SEC’s hillbillys and rednecks the shining pinnacle of “smart”!!!

great news for Stevie Joe Bob and Guy Renault!!

          • “…..smarter than the trolls on this blog.”…I never said that the hillbilly’s and redneck’s were the shining pinnacle of “smart”….. those are YOUR words, not mine…….neither the “hillbilly’s and rednecks” nor the trolls would ever be considered the shining pinnacle of intelligence……..

          • He thought you were talking about some of his relatives

He even called they by name

          • Lame!!!!…..Go to work, there’s fart-art all over the toilet stalls. Looks like betomas lost all control, sounds like his style

How about three crotch kicks to get you motivated!!!!!

          • I CANT HEAR OVER THE VOICES IN MY HEAD SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP

      • The ruins have a winning percentage of .125%
against USC over the last 16 games, talk about not getting the job done….pathetic!!!!

        • but most important, a 100% win average over the past year. But really, why’d you cut off at 16 years? Why not 26?

          • Heck…. let’s go back to 1929, shall we?

          • It’s the BCS era, dip shit!….As far as bucket(ruin fan) is concerned, college football didn’t start until then, that’s why!!!

    • Wow!!! that’s not saying much for your ruins. You just inserted your foot into your mouth

Please stay in the closet, for your own sake

  6. Welcome to college football in the BCS age, no one will play anyone else who has a pulse.

  7. I have to agree with Wolf, paying $65 to see Ark St, New Mexico and Idaho is a bit much.

    • Hey, it’s better than paying to watch Alabama vs Chattanooga….LSU vs Furman…. LSU vs Kent State…..Georgia vs North Texas…. Georgia vs Appalachian State… or USC (the OTHER USC) vs Coastal Carolina Chanticleers …….. Chanticleers?

    • Your paying for the experience, not just the X’s and 0’s

Are you a painter, by trade?

  8. Wolf.. you can talk smack all you want, but sounds like WINS to me.. About time.. all the other conferences play many CUPCAKES! why do you think the Big 10 always had 2 teams in the BCS?

  9. Well, for whatever it’s worth, the Orlando Sentinel ranked Arkansas State No. 60 this years college football preseason rankings
