USC and Notre Dame Extend Series Through 2023

College football’s greatest intersectional rivalry will keep going as usual for the next 10 years. USC will continue to host the Fighting Irish on Thanksgiving weekend in even-numbered years and play at South Bend in mid-October in odd-numbered years.

There’s been speculation whether the series would continue as planned with USC’s Pac-12 schedule and Notre Dame playing five ACC games a year.

USC Morning Buzz

UCLA baseball coach John Savage, who won the school’s first College World Series title last night, was a former USC assistant. He was asked after winning the title about the influence of former USC coach Mike Gillespie.

“I wouldn’t be here without him,” Savage said.

Serra’s Adoree Jackson At USC Camp

Serra star Adoree Jackson was the big name at USC’s football camp today and said he played wide receiver. Jackson is a cornerback-wide receiver and will probably start at tailback for Serra this season. ADOREE

USC Reaches Compromise With Science Center Board Over Coliseum

The California Science Center Board passed by a unanimous voice vote a new proposal that gives USC the control it sought over the Coliseum parking lots but also gave the museum more parking and revenue than USC orignally proposed.

This new deal should allow USC to move a step forward in its attempt to take over the Coliseum.

Tailback U. Now Wants To Be Called Wide Receiver U.


You can almost imagine some in the athletic dept. sitting around trying to one-up UCLA’s decision last week to label itself Linebacker U. It was ridiculous for UCLA to do it but now we have a reactionary video from USC. In the old days, USC used to consider itself above the fray but now it is happy to be as common as everyone else.
Considering the tradition of the Tailback U. moniker, why try to add another label?
