That is one of the messages from Oregon’s new football video on “change,” with Chip Kelly gone and Mark Helfrich in charge. I’m guessing USC fans can attest to the “change inspires fear” line and how those fears can be borne out.

The Fight Hunger Bowl Just Leapfrogged Two Spots In Pac-12 Pecking Order

The Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl reached a six-year agreement with the Pac-12 that runs through 2019 and gives the former Nut Bowl the fourth pick among conference bowl games. The Fight Hunger Bowl currently picks sixth.

The game will also seek to have five different Big Ten teams in the six-year deal. The game is also moving to the new 68,500 seat Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, where the San Francisco 49ers will play.

Alabama Superfan Streak Ends

Alabama superfan Dick Coffee died at age 91 after attending 781 straight games since 1946. USC superfan Giles Pellerin attended 797 games from 1925-98 and also died at age 91.
Giles Pellerin died of cardiac arrest during the 1998 USC-UCLA game at the Rose Bowl. It was the same location of the first USC game he attended.

The Honda Cup will be presented to the nation’s top college female athlete today at 5 p.m. at the Galen Center. USC freshman golfer Annie Park, the NCAA individual champion, is among the 12 athletes contending for the award. The announcement will be televised by ESPNU.
