Late-Night Notes

As you probably heard, USC picked up a commitment from four-star linebacker Derik Calhoun of El Cerrito, Calif. He is the Trojans’ seventh commitment overall. And UCLA baseball coach John Savage turned down an offer of $1 million per year from USC according to the Los Angeles Times. That would have made Savage the highest-paid baseball coach in the nation.

  1. Sugar Suhhh-WEEEEET!!!

not only do we lock up the best coach in ALL baseball, he gives the trOXans a humiliating kick to the crotch by saying no to TRIPLE the pay!!!

yet MORE proof that it SUCKS to be a trOXan!!!!

insofar as the recruiting news, take a knee, wolfman, Helen already GOT THAT!!

    • Ahem….According to sources along Figueroa, Helen was last seen to be on TWO knee’s…….

      • More bad news for our dead baseball program…to think we could have promoted him from within the program- but no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Scott,

You should do more of these late-night posts. ThaiMex always monitors the blog throughout the night.

  3. Savage doesn’t want a challenge, he can recruit kids to ucla that can pay the few thousand it costs to go there, SC needs to find a guy who can meet the challenge of running a baseball program at a private school. At least Haden didn’t offer the job to a black female.

  4. bad news always brings out the true trOXans!!! and there has been a LOT OF BAD NEWS this year, eh Dummies??

gay-bashing bigots, racists, sexist pigs….even Jezro discriminates against people in other Time Zones!!!

why would Savage want to go back to this cesspool??? now he has been to Paradise!!! not even TRIPLE THE PAY could make him go back!!! think about THAT, DUMMIES!!!!!!

i wonder if Kiff would jump to Notre Dame for TRIPLE the PAY???

    HAWR-HAAAWR!!!

    • ….”bad news always brings out the true trOXans!!!”……Does it always bring out the “true Bruins”, as well?…….just asking……..

  5. It was an obvious decision for Savage to make. Why would he want to leave a school with low expectations and come to SC’s storied baseball program, that Haden has assisted in wrecking, and be under undue pressure to restore it to the national platform? Of course he’d rather stay at Fucla, where they’re happy winning a NC every 59 years (see 1954 football program).
