Sedrick Ellis Retires

Former USC defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis informed the Chicago Bears that he would not report to training camp and intends to retire. He was the seventh pick of the 2008 NFL Draft and won a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints.

    He is a great Trojan, a member of the 2004 season BCS champs that annihilated Oklahoma and I wish him well in his career endeavors.

    On another board, it was written that he has accumulated enough wealth to live out the rest of his days in comfort, is still relatively healthy (and wants to remain that way), and that he’s had a particular interest in coaching, and wants to pursue that interest now. I hope USC can bring him back as a coach.
