USC Morning Buzz

Today is Pac-12 media day but the news is athletic director Pat Haden’s video that he supports Lane Kiffin 100 percent. For the record that is down 50 percent since last November if you remember Haden’s post-UCLA loss quote (“Lane is my head coach, 150 percent.”)
That Haden is fully supportive is not really news. What else does an A.D. say before the season? But sometimes it seems like someone is trying too hard in the athletic dept. Releasing an overly slick video late Thursday night? Is this supposed to be a pre-emptive strike on media day? It’s not that serious of a day.
Does this mean if USC has a bad season, Kiffin will still not be on the hot seat? If this video was meant to offer support, it succeeded. If it was meant to deter questions, it did not.

  1. “It’s not that serious of a day.”…..we shall see, by the nature of the questions posed and the spin that the media reports the answers to be……and let’s please give Haden at least a little credit, shall we?…you don’t honestly believe that he would be so naive to think that his video would do anything to deter questions, do you?

    • For being such a die-hard ruin fan, why are the Trojan’s in your mind 24/7?

      Dementia is incurable….ouch!!!

  2. Actually, that is down 33% since November. (It’s now two-thirds what it was)

That’s what they teach in Algebra at least.

    • Good catch. …I was going to mention the very same thing, but since Wolf was a journalism major, I decided to give him a pass…..plus, he never let’s the facts get in the way of a good story. …

  3. If USC has another down year his support for Kiffin will go down to 50%.
