When Did Lane Kiffin Decide To Keep Calling Plays?

I asked Lane Kiffin when he made his decision to keep calling plays, which was announced this week.
“I think it was awhile ago,” Kiffin said.
Like about a second after he thought of letting someone else do it?

  1. Objective; expressing or dealing with facts or conditions as perceived without distortion by PERSONAL FEELINGS, prejudices, or interpretations

    • Mr Trojan Fan, now that you have figured out what the word Objective means, now I suggest you look up the word Blog, which is a site where the person who runs the blog posts their PERSONAL OPINIONS and VIEWPOINTS. Then the reader is usually invited to opine.

If you are looking for purely OBJECTIVE news, I suggest the AP News Wire or Fox News.

      • Hey honey, the point of my post flew right over your head. Stick to crocheting and needle pointing, you’ll avoid looking like a fool.

PS….how do you keep your teeth so white, perhaps a trade secret?

        • I know charlie has an obsession with this blog I’m trying to get him some help for this illness

      • Charlie, who is violet and why do you have a picture of your 3rd grade teacher as a new avatar?

Stop acting like an idiot towards Mr TrojanFan, I’m sure he’s tired of dealing with all your BS

….now get back in bed!!!…I’m hard rock!!!

    • TROJANFAN aka CLOWN: one, who, through the fault of his parents conception, is a skid mark in society’s collective underwear.

      • TED: One, who, through the fault of his parents conception, is ignorant and has a big mouth.

        • Thanks for having my back!

          My exact same thoughts

Let me throw in a few crotch kicks…..ouch!!!

      • At 2;00am you were still up trolling the blog, pathetic.

Your life has been reduced to nothing more than trolling this blog 24/7, even more pathetic

I’m serious dude, you have some mental issues, get some help, you’re the true clown around here and quite the punchline

It’s interesting that all your upvotes come from guests or one of your fake user names. No one likes you, open your eyes

        DEMENTIA CHARLIE!!!!

        • Only on dailynews….where the replies to the troll are better than the blogs itself! LOL

I still suspect Bucket IS Wolf. If that’s true, this is even more bizarre than I first thought!

  2. When Kiffin didn’t bring in a new OC, with credentials similar to Pendergast’s on defense or Summers’s on OL, Kiffin established himself as the likely play caller.

Has he learned from last year to self-scout more effectively, to do the unexpected more often, to better anticipate before games how opponents may vary what they have shown on film and to get his players prepared for it, and to make better in-game adjustments if things still aren’t working? We’ll see.

Does he have the organization and management skills to do the above job well, and still to effectively lead his staff and the other units? We’ll see.

    • Excellent questions and critique. But does USC deserve a Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator/Wall (sideline) Flower who’s still learning the game? Put down the card, Lane, and join the dance.

      • I can’t disagree that when Garrett made the hire, the sanctions had not been announced. Garrett could have done better, but he rushed. Ironically, one of Kiffin’s appeals was that Monte Kiffin would coach the defense, and that Kiffin would hire Norm Chow as OC. Kiffin humored Garrett until he landed the job, then did not seriously pursue Chow, or another OC.

Once the harsh sanctions hit, the hiring situation became much more difficult. Therefore, I don’t blame Haden for sticking with Kiffin. However, If I were AD, I would have pressured Kiffin for a seasoned OC after last year, explaining to Kiffin that the HC job was a sufficient challenge for a young coach, and that I would be more comfortable is Kiffin became his own OC after he got more seasoning at HC.

  3. How lucky can we be? We have two Offensive Coordinators and no Head Coach.

  4. Be on the look out for tomorrow’s blog titled, “Is Kiffin calling the plays?”

Wolf sure has a hard time letting go of certain subjects.

    • It’s a personal vendetta that gets carried out on this blog. Kiffin has been in his head for months.

  5. How many times are you going to re-write the same post? In 5 other post you have mentioned Kiffin calling plays.. and even posted a survey
