I recommend watching some of this telecast for the vintage graphics, long-time USC announcer Mike Walden, Marcus Allen at tailback, Ronnie Lott and Dennis Smith at safety, Chip Banks at linebacker. Oh, and there’s Mike Garrett as color commentator. Who knew he would eventually become athletic director?

A 7-7 tie against a horrible Duck team ( 6-3-2). Didn’t matter anyway, team was on probation, lost to Washington at home in front of 55,000, then lost at ucla but beat ND
