Su’a Cravens Starts At Safety On Day 1

In a mild surprise, freshman Su’a Cravens played with the first team at safety during today’s practice. Demetrius Wright seemed to be the starter at the end of spring. In the Pete Carroll era, it was not unusual to see younger players get quality practice time early.

Dion Bailey, who started at linebacker the past two seasons, was the other starter at safety.

  2. My Optimistic Theory is that Monte Kiffin was the Paul Hackett of Defense. Brilliant football mind, but made things too complicated for the younger College Players, resulting in confusion and not going full speed while thinking too much. Hayes Pullard has already said things are being made simpler so far that allows the D to play faster….I see this as a BIG Positive.
