Ty Isaac, Kevon Seymour Among Players Switching Jersey Numbers

Several USC players have changed jersey numbers. Here are the new numbers:

Ty Isaac No. 29; Kevon Seymour No. 13; Chris Willson No. 87; Zach Smith No. 60; Aaron Minor No. 46. Looks like Willson is now playing tight end full time instead of splitting time between quarterback and tight end.

  1. …and the number switches will be happening in the locker room at half time of the Hawaii game…

    • Hey Bucket, the city of Pasadena owns the Rose Bowl. Well, they share ownership with USC. Haven’t you noticed all of the plaques?

      • Hope you didn’t pull a muscle stretching for that weak analogy. UCLA 9-6 vs USC in the Rose Bowl = Own. Our house, our complete knock down of pUSC last year. And I’m not Bucket.

        • 9-6 Wow, that is utter domination! Has another school ever equaled that kind of run?

        • Dude, you sound like a broken record . Look at the big picture, explain 2-12

PS….slow down on the koolaid, it’s a long season

          • Okay, fair enough. Here’s a big picture: Since ’04 USC has declined steadily as a relevant football program, plagued by sanctions, a choke loss to Texas in the ’06 NC game, followed just 10 months later by an even bigger choke loss to an underdog UCLA team that knocked you out of the NC game. SC hasn’t played in a BCS bowl OR won the Pac 10 (or new Pac-12 South) for five years–since 08. Since vacating that ’04 national title, and being squeezed by sanctions, you’ve lost Carroll, hired arguably one of the least respected coaches in college football , steadily given ground in the cross-town recruiting wars, and become the first preseason #1 team in nearly 50 years to finish completely out of the polls. AND, you were the first team to EVER lose a bowl game to a team with a losing record. Big picture.

          • And yet we still stomped you 50-0 and had to spot you 2 touchdowns so you could win last year.

The generosity is over. The victory last year has caused you guys to get a little too uppity. This year, you’ll be put back under the house where you belong…with all the other mangy dogs.

          • that’s great and everything.. Glad to see how much you know about USC Football.. and how much winning they do BUT … One question.. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME UCLA HAS WON THE PAC 10/12?

            Don’t worry, we’ll wait!

          • We won the Pac-12 South Division outright by beating USC (I don’t count the year before–a 50-0 loss does not give a team the right to claim a division title). Actually, we had the Pac-12 championship in our grasp last year, leading Stanford 24-17 heading into the fourth quarter, and lost a heartbreaker on a last-second missed field goal by our freshman kicker– still a loss, even though a very close one. So, the last outright conference–not division–championship was 1998. Too long, indeed.

          • Didn’t ask you for the history of UCLA football.. NO ONE CARES!
1998 DAMN! So UCLA has not been relevant for almost 15 years..School goes 9-6 , and UCLA fans want to run off at the mouth..

          • George Bush was president and guys named Carroll and Garrett were running the program the last time USC won the Pac-12 (’08). Since then, how relevant has USC been nationally, let alone in their own south division? Knock off the reigning Pac-12 South champion, and then you can talk about USC’s relevance. Fair enough?

          • Interesting, because ucla has NEVER been relevant on the national scene FAIR ENOUGH?

You have to go back two decades to find your last conference championship, beyond pathetic

            nice try!

          • Regular SC folks know me not to be a hater. I have to say, though, that by ignoring your own shortcomings as a program, and constantly putting down other teams, weakens your credibility as a realistic fan. Look, UCLA is the reigning South Division champion, won in the head-to-head battle in the Rose Bowl last year. Knock down the champ this year, and you’ll have the Victory Bell and the city bragging rights. Until then, both belong to UCLA.

          • If I’m not correct, I believe the divisions have only been split for what 2 years. HA!
Oh and I believe 2011 ranked Number 6.. is relevance regardless of sanctions or not..

Again,, when was UCLA ranked in the top 5? how about Top 10? again?

Win something relevant then you can be considered even in a conversation with USC..
            Fair Enough?

          • Well, for starters we beat you head-to-head for the Division championship last year. Would you not consider that relevant?

          • one year? Really! your whole significance around your program is based off one year.. Congrats UCLA at 9-6 did absolutely nothing in 2012, but because they beat USC.. UCLA is relevant!

            USC not Relevant since 2011
            UCLA not Relevant since 1998..

          • USC football has not been relevant on the national scene (i.e. BCS bowl contender), since ’08 (your last BCS bowl appearance). There’s no argument that USC has a better football program historically than UCLA–anyone (UCLA fan or otherwise) is just either stupid or ignorant to argue otherwise. UCLA has been mediocre at best for more than a dozen years. But today, right now, UCLA is the legitimate defending Pac-12 South champion, having beat their rival head-to-head last year (no backing in like the year before). Is UCLA relevant yet? No. However, the same goes for USC: Win the south division this year, then beat the north champ for the conference title, and SC begins to re-establish BCS relevance that you have not had for five years.

Talk football history? USC wins. Talk the present? UCLA is the South Division champ.

          • You are correct, sir……and UCLA are favored to win the South Division again this year…..Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown…..we shall see how the season plays out….it should be a fun year for both schools and the annual rivalry game will finally mean something more than just bragging rights in LA….

          • Hoarse, it will be an interesting year for both teams. We have no proven back-up if our star QB goes down, while USC has the opposite problem–three legitimate QBs, all not far apart in the race to start (Browne perhaps a distant third). UCLA’s road schedule is brutal, and we have to play Oregon–so that’s a reverse of what SC had to face last year. May the best team win the division!

          • EB – As the cliche goes, “That’s why they play the games”…..anything can happen….the QB position is extremely thin in Westwood, especially with the recent transfer, and ours is very inexperienced and they will rely heavily on getting decent field position from our defense and special teams, and support from the running backs….Our schedule is favorable for a 9-10 win season, but we shall see what happens, starting in just 2 more days! May the best team win….nobody should be backing into a championship this year…..

          • Was USC ranked in 2011? I believe if you are ranked 6th in the nation your relevant to college football in some way or fashion..

Not sure how that is in the past. UCLA won the Pac 12 South last year yes, but your program is still irrelevant to college football and has been for the past 15 years.

            USC not Relevant since 2011
            UCLA not Relevant since 1998..

        • Sorry to break it to you boys, but Barr will be back in full swiing on Monday.

          • None–Barr will once again destroy whatever slow-moving, pro-set QB the Kitten chooses to play. Just ask Barkley.

          • Yes Barr injured a guy. That’s the high point of your season?

And you clearly mean the stadium and not the Bowl Game. How long has it been since Berkeley’s branch campus played in Pasadena since Jan 1?

          • You have to go back a few decades, pathetic!

I’m sure he wasn’t even born yet!

          • I, for one, did not enjoy seeing Barkley get injured. A class act, and a player who carried himself last year–a difficult year–with a lot more maturity than his head coach. His injury was not the high point of UCLA’s season, though beating the Trojans was. Hopefully we can begin to restore the rivalry. Last year was a first step in that process.

          • You had better hope that vomit boy has another great season..otherwise, his surefire Top 10 NFL draft stock will plummet faster than a Bernie Madoff investment …. to quote you, “Just ask Barkley”…..

  2. Children! Children! The post was about jersey numbers. When will USC ever recruit a WR that deserves to wear #1?
