In the reader comments on that ESPN story, I saw this at the top: “You can take the Trojan out of South Central, but you can’t take South Central out of the Trojan.” Har har. What struck me was that the commenter claims to work as an “Undergraduate Advisor at UC Berkeley School of Social Welfare”.
It’s nice to know that future social workers are being advised by someone making jokes about inner-city neighborhoods and the people who live there. (Then again, maybe that’s experience talking!)
